Welcome to 2018!
About half of the world has declared that this year they will be losing weight, eating healthy, taking up a new sport or club, or even writing a book.
Now that we are about a week in to 2018 we are already finding that our resolutions are slowly slipping from our daily lives. Lets be honest how many of us have kept a new years resolution all year long. Not many. Am I right?
So here I present 5 ways to keep your new years resolutions all year!
1.) Keep them as goals or opportunities not as a strict resolution.
2.) Have a reasonable resolution. For example don’t pick going to the gym everyday if the closest one to you is 45 minutes away.
3.) Choose something you will enjoy doing and benefit from.
4.) Don’t give up on it even if you miss a week or so.
5.) Have fun with it! There will always be next year!

First thing I did was make the chocolate cake base. I used a devils chocolate cake mix.
After making the cake I made the frosting. I didn’t have pre-done frosting so I made some from scratch. Here is the recipe.
-3 cups of powdered sugar
-1/3 cup of butter (softened)
-1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
-1 to 2 tablespoons
Mix butter and powdered sugar on low and add the vanilla. Then blend in 1 tablespoon of milk and if needed add another.
Then I waited until the cake was cooled and frosted the cake. Next I crumpled up a gram cracker and sprinkled it on top. Finally I added the marshmallow and chocolate flower on the top.
Yesterday was a fun day I spent the day with my best friends at the lake!
I hadn’t made any crafts or recipes or should I say good ones. I had attempted to make a strawberry refreshing smoothie bowl. But it had turned out way to tart.
Later in the day we came home and went swimming in our lake. All day I had worn my favorite summer swimsuit from Target.
Today was a kind of a relaxing day. I did a lot of cooking/baking and cleaning.
I was quit bored so I decided to bake these delicious sugar cookies!
For today I am sharing this delicious vegetarian recipe that I made for lunch! I scrambled 2 eggs and cooked in chopped mushrooms and spinach. Then I put fresh chopped strawberries on top.
Today we did several fun things and I have included a fun craft idea that I had made that day!
To start off the day me and my mom went to the gym. We worked out our arms and did some stretching and cardio.
We then went to a fantastic local coffee shop and ate. I got a egg and cheese sandwich and a tropical fruit smoothie.
Yesterday I did a chalk paint craft that was inspired by Peter Pan. I got the box/wooden book from a craft store and did the base and stencils with chalk paint. Then I used a top coat for chalk paint to seal everything in.
I am redoing the way my blog posts are set up and presented. I have decided that I will be continuing to do my daily blogging but instead my posts will be about what I did that day and will incorporate in a new recipe, craft, outfit, or product that I did or used that day.
I am going to take a short time off from the blog. Probably about 4 days. I am working on a new uploading schedule and going camping.

We are often stuck sitting on our dreams. Yes I can sit in bed all day long thinking of how cool it would be to do this or do that but its not going to get you anywhere. Crazy enough you actually have to get up and start to do something and put your dream into action for it to actually happen.
Not all dreams last, move quickly, or work out. But how are you going to know if you don’t try?
For instance I wanted to start a blog and have a sort of creative outlet I sat there and thought, and thought, and thought about it until finally I gathered up money I had been saving for the past 2-3 years bought a computer and finally started.
I am not sure if I’ll get anywhere with this blog but it is worth a try. So stop thinking about it and just jump to action.
